What I'm asking of my friends who love me...

"Why am I Valued and Accepted?"

If you are my friend.
If you love me.
Then I'm going to ask you the most important thing I've ever asked you to do.
I'm asking you to remind me to ask this question when you see me start to get depressed or show any variant of "Victim Mentality".

I ask you this because it's the key to me fighting my personal lie and I need your help in doing it.

Your personal lie is at your core, and at my core my big fear is that I have no Value and will be Rejected.

The way to deal with this is not to tell me how valuable I am or why you think I have value, because those things are in one ear and out the other. Such words are just vibrations in air.

Questions have power though, because if you ask yourself a question and leave it your mind must answer it. Thats why when you ask yourself things like "Why do I screw up all the time" your subconscience runs off to give reasons that you screw up all the time. Well, what I need my subconscience to be doing is to be working like a deamon to reprogram me to believe I'm valued and accepted. So, this is an NLP technique I'm using to fix a core issue for me and I'm asking you to help me do it.

So, from now on if I start to get down. Don't comfort me, don't try to tell me how it would be better, don't try to tell me how great I am. Just remind me that I need to deal with my issue myself by asking me "Why am I valued and Accepted?"

I agree! That's a good thing to think about.

Absolutely an excellent way to approach things. The answer is in you and other people answering it for you just cuts you off from your own power.

Wow- that's a really powerful tool! I suppose I don't really know you well enough to call myself your "friend"- but I understand the importance of what you're asking, and would be more than willing to help.

Thank you for sharing this!
